The ABC School has been teaching the Italian Language and Culture to students from all over the world and has its main office in Florence since 1982. The school is officially authorised by MIUR (the Italian Ministry of Education) and is a member of the Association of the Schools of Italian ASILS®. In all these years we have improved our offerings to better face the real needs of our students. In 2015 we opened a new office in the enchanting Baia del Silenzio (Bay of Silence) in Sestri Levante (Genoa), one of the most beautiful beaches in Italy. Also known as the city with two seas, Sestri Levante is set on a promontory extended on the sea originating two bays, the Bay of Silence and the Bay of the Fairy Tales, so called in honor of Hans Christian Andersen who lived here 1833. Sestri Levante offers many opportunities, including: nature trails with breathtaking views on the sea; sailing classes; diving centres as well as excursions to Cinque Terre and Portofino. Sestri Levante can be easily reached by car, by train or by plane. Genoa and Pisa are the closest airports.

- Services must be paid in full 15 days before the course starts in order to complete the enrolment and secure a place in the course and/or accommodation.
- Bookings are not transferable.
- Bank charges are payable by students
- Students must be 16 years of age or over

Cancellation policy

- The cancellation needs to be communicated in writing to the school by the person who booked the course.
- No course changes will be allowed to make up for refunds in the case of course cancellations.
- Where a cancellation is received 15 days after enrolment there will be no refund.
- The deposit is non-refundable.
- Enrolment fee is non-refundable.
- No refund will be made for shortening the course duration after the payment.
- There is no refund for any cancellation once the course has commenced.
- After a course has started there is no refund for any accommodation or other item booked.
- No tuition refunds are given for late arrivals, early departures or absences, for whatever reason, from classes during any course.
- If a student is absent for one or more weeks at a time, arrangements can be made for the course duration to be extended at no extra cost.

Refund policy

- If a course is cancelled more than 16 days before course start: 70% refund
- If a course is cancelled less than 15 days before the start date full price will be charged.

Visa refusal

- If an entry visa is not granted and the School is informed more than days before the start date, the following charges will apply:
- registration fee
- week tuition
- week accommodation
- If an entry visa is not granted and the School is informed between and days before the start date the following charges will apply:
- registration fee
- week tuition
- The remaining balance will be refunded to the student upon receipt of an original VISA refusal letter.

Other terms

To enroll it is necessary to send 30% of the fee of the chosen course as one of the following options: cash, by bank transfer or by credit card. Bank expenses are charged to the student. In the case of a cancellation before the beginning of the course, the school will retain the deposit. The ABC school reserves the following rights:
to make no refunds once the course has begun; to change course programmes without any prior notice in the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.
