Main characteristics of this package
The characteristics of this package are the following ones: depending on the
language school you can choose between packages of 4, 12 or 16 weeks. You will choose how many weeks you want to study the language, and then you will be able to work for the same period of time. For example, you have booked an English course for 12 weeks, then you will have the right to work for another 12 weeks. (The Canadian government does not allow to work and study at the same time, unless you hold a Working Visa)
Types of work placement
These combos of study and work are usually offered in three different types (unpaid placement, self-placement where you will need to find your own interviews or paid placement, where the school will arrange at least one interview for you, and maximum of three interviews). In any of the previous options, you will always receive help when writing your CV, preparing the job interview, finding job vacancies, and above all, will help you improve your language skills at a great speed being focused on conversation and comprehension. The sectors where students usually get hired are tourism, retails, administrative and office vacancies and hotel industry.
Which kind of visa do you need?
One of the great advantages of travelling to Canada is its tourist visa length. Europeans can spend up to six months in Canada holding a Tourist Visa, for example. Nevertheless, we strongly recommend you to contact the Canadian Embassy in your country for further details about the tourist and student visas.
