10-Hour Private Spanish Classes

Nosara Spanish Institute (NSI) is a small Spanish school in Playa Guiones, Nosara, on the Pacific coast of the Nicoya Peninsula (Guanacaste, Costa Rica), a few minutes' walk from the beach. Classes follow a communicative method focused on practical, spontaneous Spanish, with native, university-trained teachers. Groups are small (usually 2-4 students, maximum 6) and cover all levels, from complete beginner to advanced; your level is set with a written test and an oral assessment. Courses start every Monday and run Monday to Friday in sessions of about 1 hour 40 minutes (two 50-minute lessons): one session a day in the 10-lesson course and two in the 20-lesson course, in the morning (from 8:00) or in the afternoon (from 13:00). The time depends on your level and group and cannot be guaranteed. Course materials are included. You can combine Spanish with yoga (five classes a week at Bodhi Tree) and ask the school about surf lessons. For your stay, choose a local host family with breakfast and dinner, or a private room with en-suite bathroom at Hacienda NSI, the school's own residence. NSI is an associate member of GlobalEDU Costa Rica. Closed in 2027 (no classes): 1 January, 22-26 March (Holy Week), 11 April, 1 May, 25 July, 15 August, 15 September and 21-25 December.
