Summer 2027 programme in Newcastle for 12 to 17 year olds: 15 English lessons a week with Young Learner teachers, educational trips, evening social events, weekend excursions, and full-board accommodation with a local host family. Course dates 28 June to 2 August 2027; the price per week (GBP 950) includes classes, accommodation, meals and activities. Under-18s: parent or guardian consent is required, airport transfers are required for unaccompanied minors (price on request) and the school follows British Council guidelines for the care of under-18s (background-checked staff, safeguarding leads, 24/7 emergency phone).

Fees: the administration fee (GBP 100 for adult courses) covers student ID and access cards, course materials, enrolment, accommodation arrangements and general and visa administration, and is non-refundable. The accommodation placement fee is GBP 50. Course and accommodation fees must be paid in full before enrolment is confirmed (bank transfer, credit or debit card, or Flywire).
Cancellation: 28 or more days before the start of the course, full refund of the fees paid, excluding administration, visa and courier fees. Less than 28 days before the start, travel insurance is recommended. Changes within 7 days of the start: one week's notice is charged.
Visas: International House Newcastle is a licensed Student Sponsor. Visa students must send the completed application, full payment or proof of sponsorship, the booking fee and a copy of their passport, and should apply early.
Start dates: any Monday (16+ students), subject to availability, booked at least one week in advance. Accommodation is booked Sunday to Sunday (arrival after 2pm, departure before 10am).
Public holidays: the school is closed on UK public holidays (1 January, Good Friday 26 March, Easter Monday 29 March, 3 May, 31 May, 30 August, 25 and 26 December 2027) and for the Christmas break from 18 December, reopening on 3 January 2028. No refund is given for these days.
Under-18s: parent or guardian consent is required; two-way airport transfers are required for unaccompanied minors, who must contact the school one week before travel.
