Standard Course

Linguadue is the Milan school of the Linguaviva Group (founded in Florence in 1976) and has been teaching Italian to international students since 1990. It is in the Navigli district, one of Milan's best-loved areas, with typical houses, courtyards, artists' workshops and small shops, five minutes on foot from Porta Genova metro station. Students come from more than 60 countries, many of them interested in design, fashion, music and business; the school works with leading universities and design and fashion institutes in Milan. Linguadue is a member of IALC and ASILS, an accredited PLIDA examination centre and recognised for Bildungsurlaub in several German states and by CSN in Sweden. Courses for adults (from age 18) are taught at all levels from A1 to C1, in groups of up to 14 students, with 45-minute lessons: Standard (20 lessons a week), Intensive (30), Super Intensive (20 in a group + 10 one-to-one) and the Cultural Programme for 50+. Non-beginners can start any Monday; complete beginners start on the dates in the booking guide. Students can stay with a host family (single room, half board or bed & breakfast) or in a shared flat (single room, self-catering, from 18), at most 30 minutes from the school by public transport. The social programme includes visits to the Duomo, the Castello Sforzesco and Milan's museums, lectures on Italian design, fashion and food, and weekend trips (Como, Verona, the Cinque Terre and more).
