This program is perfect for you if you would like to learn or improve your Spanish and would also love to discover the passion of the Caribbean and immerse yourself into a new culture.
*Combination of the Dance Course with the Spanish Private Lessons Standard (20 les/wk) is also possible at extra charge.
The “Spanish & Latin Dance” presents the language and dance world of the Dominican Republic. In the mornings, the participants tackle Spanish vocabularies; in the afternoons, professional dance instructors teach them the steps and passionate body language of the typical local dances Merengue, Bachata and Dominican Salsa.
Additional weeks are also possible to be booked.
If there is an official holiday (see list Dates & Prices), IIC will offer for Spanish Group Courses an optional 2-hour “Spanish & Culture“-group class for compensation. Private Lessons will continue to be fully rescheduled.

Student information
Sosua lies on the north coast of the Dominican Republic. It is located between Puerto Plata and Cabarete; the International Airport of Puerto Plata which serves the entire area is only about a 10-minute drive away.
The small tourist town, home to 12,000 inhabitants, is known for its beautiful beaches and water sports facilities. They can be enjoyed all year round due to temperatures of 90°F (32°C) in the summer months and 80°F (27°C) in winter.

- Bookings are not transferable.
- Bank charges are payable by students
- Students must be 16 years of age or over
Cancellation policy
- The cancellation needs to be communicated in writing to the school by the person who booked the course.
- No refund will be made for shortening the course duration after the payment.
- There is no refund for any cancellation once the course has commenced.
- After a course has started there is no refund for any accommodation or other item booked.
- No tuition refunds are given for late arrivals, early departures or absences, for whatever reason, from classes during any course.
- If a student is absent for one or more weeks at a time, arrangements can be made for the course duration to be extended at no extra cost.
Visa refusal
- 1- No refunds whatsoever are given for Visa refusal.
Other terms
Depending on the day of receipt the IIC charges the following cancellation fees which apply to the complete price:
21 or more days prior to program starting date: 10 %
between 20 to 14 days prior to the course starting date: 20 %
between 13 to 7 days prior to the course starting date: 30 %
within the last 6 days prior to the course starting date and
in the case of ‘no show’: 40%
