Our STANDARD French course in Montpellier is a part-time program that includes 20 lessons/week (15 hours) in classes of small groups + 4 lessons/week tutoring and workshop offered weekly. You will improve your French language skills while having enough time to enjoy your language immersion in France and practice your French outside the classroom. This is our most popular course in Montpellier. This program is available at all levels from beginner (A0) to advanced (C1). It is based on the key linguistic skills: reading, writing, understanding and with particular care to oral expression and phonetics. Students will learn to express themselves in both formal and casual conversations. Our Standard courses are held from 9am to 12.15pm OR from 2.15pm to 5.30pm. While the pedagogical tutoring and workshop are held from 12.30pm-2pm on Mondays and Fridays. Thanks to our online placement test we have developed, our team will ensure that you are placed in a group that corresponds to your level. Each Monday, your teacher will present you with the pedagogical programme of the week, including the skills to be mastered, the grammar points and the vocabulary to be worked on. Servizio ed esperienza indimenticabili! Durante il mio soggiorno di 3 settimane, ho migliorato il mio francese in un'atmosfera cosmopolita, grazie anche alla mia insegnante Sadia che ha sempre saputo creare un rapporto di discussione tra i nostri studenti. Inoltre, la reception era sempre disponibile a rispondere alle mie domande. Infine, ho avuto l'opportunità di vedere la meravigliosa Occitane con una guida eccezionale, Jéremie! Avrò sempre voglia di tornare!

I had the chance to spend three weeks with Accent Français in June 2021. I had an unforgettable time! The teachers were professional but friendly, and my host family welcomed me and took good care of me. I had the school to support me and help me learn, but I also had the freedom to explore and go places and do things alone. On top of that, the staff were all wonderful and helpful, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

立地に関しては言わずもがな、コメディ広場からすぐのところにあり、アクセスが非常に良い。 また、学校スタッフの対応もよく、非常に多くの言語で対応できるというのには驚いた。 現状、日本語が可能なのは校長のみだが、日本に居住していた経験もあることから、日本人の受入に慣れていると感じた。 授業に関しては、毎週のテーマがあり、また文法事項も散らされているが、日本の従来の言語教育と異なり、文法が中心にはならず、あくまで各週のテーマに沿って授業が展開される。 また、授業中はとにかく参加する姿勢や発言することが重要で、思い切って間違いを恐れずに踏み込む勇気が多少なり求められる。 イベントや遠足など、事前予約が必須のものが多いが、関心があれば一度は参加をするべきだろう。 モンペリエ周辺のスポットの中には、自分ひとりで行くのがなかなかに難しいところもある。 そういった場所への移動は学校のイベントを通じていくことで、別途移動手段を確保する必要がなくなる。 またスマートフォンのアプリを通じて授業で使った資料や関連資料にアクセスが出来る。 最初は戸惑ったが、慣れてしまえば難しいことはない。

I did an unpaid internship in Accent Français and highly recommend them as employer. I had many varied tasks: as a multilingual, I had to translate different advertising texts, price lists, descriptions. I was also asked to help students and potential clients from my home country in case of language barrier. For every mission I was allowed to take as much time as I needed which was amazing, I had never been in rush and could do my work properly.

Terms & Conditions: Accent Francais

- Services must be paid in full 30 days before the course starts in order to complete the enrolment and secure a place in the course and/or accommodation.
- Bookings are not transferable.
- Bank charges are payable by students
- Students must be 16 years of age or over

Cancellation policy

- The cancellation needs to be communicated in writing to the school by the person who booked the course.
- No course changes will be allowed to make up for refunds in the case of course cancellations.
- The deposit is non-refundable.
- Enrolment fee is non-refundable.
- The registration fee is non-refundable.
- There is no refund for any cancellation once the course has commenced.
- After a course has started there is no refund for any accommodation or other item booked.
- No tuition refunds are given for late arrivals, early departures or absences, for whatever reason, from classes during any course.

Refund policy

- If a course is cancelled more than 30 days before course start: 30% refund
- If a course is cancelled between 16 and 29 days before course start: 50% refund
- If a course is cancelled between 4 and 15 days before course start: 75% refund
- If a course is cancelled less than 3 days before the start date full price will be charged.

Visa refusal

- In case a visa is refused to the student, the school will charge 160 Euro and the remaining balance will be refunded to the student upon receipt of an original VISA refusal letter.

Registration and payment: register at least 2 weeks before arrival (3 months if a visa is needed). The deposit is EUR 365; the balance invoice follows and must be paid within 72 hours to confirm the booking. Payments in euros (bank transfer, Flywire or cash at reception); the customer pays transaction fees. The EUR 80 registration fee is never refunded.
Cancellation (in writing, effective on receipt): more than 30 days before the start, 30% of the fees is retained; 16 to 29 days, 50%; 4 to 15 days, 75%; from the Friday before the start, 100%. Once the course has started it is owed in full.
Visa: the invitation letter is issued only after full payment. If the visa is refused (refusal letter required) up to 16 days before the start, an EUR 80 penalty applies on top of the registration fee.
Changes: up to three changes or postponements per booking; the first is free up to 16 days before the start, later ones cost EUR 50. Any change is re-priced at current rates.
Classes run Monday to Friday, 9:00-12:15 or 14:15-17:30 (45-minute lessons). The school closes on French public holidays (an activity replaces the classes) and for 2 weeks at Christmas; missed lessons are not made up or refunded.
Class size: minimum 4 students for Standard and Intensive courses (below that the course may be cancelled or cut by 50%); maximum 12 for adults.
Students aged 16 and over; under-18s must return a signed waiver.

How do I book a language course / accommodation?
 
Booking with us is really easy. You just have to go to the link of the school you are interested in. Where it says COURSE and then START, you select the dates you wish to study there. Afterwards, you select how many weeks you want to study.

You then select the course you wish to attend. You can add optional services, such as accommodation and airport transfer. If you would like to add these additional services, you need to go further down the page where you will find the section relating to ACCOMMODATION. You select the option of the type of accommodation you want (You do not have to select the dates here if they are the same as the course - they are automatically selected).
After the Accommodation, you have another option,  that of TRANSFER. This option allows you to book a transport that will pick you up at the airport and will take you to your residence or host family.

Once you have selected all these options, on your right hand side, you are going to see a summary of your reservation with all the information about the course and the accommodation, together with their prices. Also, the deposit you have to pay will be displayed there. You just have to press the Orange Button that says BOOK NOW and this will take you to another page to enter your personal details. When you are booking you only have to pay the little deposit. After that, we will contact the school and request your booking. When your booking is confirmed by the school or host, they will hold your place until the your booking balance is paid in full. The same applies for the accommodation. You can pay with credit card, a PayPal account or, for most countries, bank transfer; as you prefer. This deposit you pay now will be discounted from the total price. The rest of the money will not have to be paid until 15 days before your course starts. In any case, you will be receiving emails about your deposit payments; and also, reminders about the rest of the money when it needs to be paid.

Book with a deposit only: The deposit is part of the course price, not an extra charge. If you pay by card, it is only authorised when you book and charged once the school confirms your place. If the school cannot confirm it, you are not charged, or the deposit is refunded in full.
When do the courses start?
The start dates of intensive and standard language courses are generally flexible. If you have some basic knowledge of the language, you will be able to start any Monday of the year at almost any school. If you are a total beginner, courses usually start once or twice a month.
You should be aware that language schools have more students in July and August than during any other time of year, which means that course fees, housing prices and the overall cost of living are often more expensive during this time. If you would like to book a course in July or August, you should do so very early: schools have limited spots and might be booked well in advance for the high season. Your chances to get your preferred housing type are also greater if you book your course early. Housing options near the school are especially difficult to secure in the summer and tend to fill up quickly.
Language courses during the low season (September to June) are not only less expensive, but also have smaller classes. If you are able to wait to take your courses during this time you will pay less for your courses, and  you may even receive better housing, since demand is much lower. How do I know if a place is available?
 You can find the availability status underneath each price on the school / host page. Nevertheless, if you submit a reservation request and your place is not available, the deposit paid will be 100% refunded.
