4 bis avenue Mirabeau,
IDIOM is a French language school for adults (minimum age 18) founded in 1993, in a Belle Époque villa with a sunny landscaped garden at 4 bis avenue Mirabeau, right in the centre of Nice, a two-minute walk from the city's main street, in the lively Libération district with its famous market, restaurants and cafés. It has bright classrooms with high ceilings, a lounge area and free Wi-Fi, and welcomes no more than 50 students at a time. Group courses take place in the morning, in small groups of 7 students on average (maximum 10) or in an Executive mini-group of up to 4, organised in three daily units of vocabulary, grammar and communication; teachers do not follow a single textbook but choose and adapt the material to each group. IDIOM also offers individual courses (including for complete beginners), DELF and DALF exam preparation (with registration for the exams in Valbonne and Nice), an Abitur/Matura course, French for teachers, business French and a 55+ programme. It is a member of the Groupement FLE (regular quality audits) and of the FIPF, applies the European standard NF EN 14804 for language study programmes, and its courses are recognised for Bildungsurlaub in Hamburg and Rhineland-Palatinate. The school organises host family accommodation and partner residences and hotels, a free activity programme (old-town tours, museums, tastings, excursions to Menton, Antibes or Èze) and, on request, airport or station transfers.
