The city of Florence, birthplace of the Renaissance, is an open air art gallery with
numerous world famous artistic masterpieces and monuments. Visitors to this
beautiful city can stroll through the city streets, taking in the beautiful squares and
breathtaking sights while sampling the typical Tuscan cuisine in the small
restaurants and local trattorias. Florence has a rich cultural life with regular theatre,
opera, rock concerts and ballet performances. The nearby towns of Pisa, Lucca,
San Gimignano, Arezzo and Siena make the perfect destinations for one-day
excursions.
