Scuola Palazzo Malvisi was founded in 1981 in Bagno di Romagna, a small thermal town in the Apennines, in the heart of the Tuscan Romagna Region. It is a few tens of kilometers away from the Adriatic sea, on the North side, and from the Tuscan cities of Arezzo and Florence, on the South side. Bagno di Romagna is the slow-life temple. The pureness of the natural elements, the warmth of the hot waters, the intensity of the food, the friendliness of a small mountain community and the high quality of the services, built through a long experience in hospitality, are the essence of a land that introduces you to history, wellness, wild nature, tasty food and religious meditation: this is an ideal location for the need to combine the love of the Italian language and culture with an environment of positive and effective learning. The beautify of the town is simply a backdrop to what we do best, that is, teaching the language. We offer intensive courses (26 lessons per week) in small groups of no more than six. We have developed courses especially geared to the mature student in a locale that showcases the life of the real Italy. Each student is different and each requires their own individual path of learning. Scuola Palazzo Malvisi creates an effective course of study for each student through small classes, personal teacher contact and the involvement of the whole staff in the progress of each student. We are a small, intimate school and pride ourselves in being effective yet understanding of each student’s particular path to success. The small town atmosphere gives each student an opportunity to meet and mix with the local population, with many students living with the residents while they are here. In addition we provide a delightful program of social activities including tours of vineyards as well as dinners at local agriturismo farms or wonderful trekkings following the historic foot-steps of Tuscan routes; walking deep into the wilderness of the Casentinesi Forest National Park with its nature, abandoned villages and hiking trails. We organize also guided excursions to historical places as Sansepolcro: the birthplace of Piero della Francesca, the most important painter of the Renaissance period, or to the Archaeological Museum of Sarsina, birthplace of Plautus the most popular latin writer.
